Praise for Ponies & Snakes 2011 from the California Mustang Club forum."Funny thing happened, I was the class winner in 99-2004 Mustang. I started to walk away thinking oh well another show and no trophy, I had started to walk away and then my name was called. The judges came over and told me my car showed very well. Finally a show where they judged how clean the car was and its condition! Felt really nice and to be honest this show had some very costly muscle cars. I never in my life looked at so many Shelby's and even a Boss 429 and Boss 351 in the mix. Great show and BAMA did an outstanding job for this show. Go figure the Bay Area really has some very nice Mustangs. Best place I have ever been for a show location!" "That was a nice show some really cool cars. That F150 Super Snake was crazy. The weather was perfect. Great to catch up with everyone." "I only took one pic of a Bullitt, cleanest one I ever saw. I did not see your car Frank! I spent most of the time drooling on that BOSS 429 though lol" "Yep I was at the other end of the parking lot stuffed between three black Cobras. There were only two yellow Mustangs there, mine and a 69 or 70 Mustang. You missed a really kick butt 65 race car then (red) parked right across from me. This was a very good show and the location was so nice, plenty of places to eat and rest in the shade and even shop. I will make it back again next year for sure! Like you said I walked around and I saw cars that I have never actually looked at in real life. The Boss 429 was the first real one I ever saw. Even a Ford GT showed up and parked right behind me, it was not in the show but it got plenty of looks. So many Cobras that a normal Mustang seemed rare there. The only car missing I thought was the new Boss 302! I also have to say I thought the judging was excellent, I worked on my car for a couple of days and I was worn out the morning of the show but winning made it worth it. Just a note for the other cars in my class, I saw some really nice cars, it was a very full class, you guys represented the New Edge Mustangs very well nice show everyone...." |
